Composite doors are our most popular upgrade, and for good reason. A solid timber-core composite door is around 50mm thick, far denser than an older uPVC panel door, and it holds its colour and shape for years without repainting. Security comes first on every door we fit. Multi-point locking systems hook and bolt the door into the frame at several points, meet British Standards for security, and are paired with anti-snap cylinders as standard. How quickly can a new front door be fitted?
Most doors are fitted within two to four weeks of survey, because each one is made to your exact opening. We give you a clear date before you commit.
Are composite doors more secure than uPVC?
Both are secure when fitted with a multi-point lock. Composite doors add a thicker, denser slab, so they are more robust against impact and better insulated. We will recommend the right balance for your budget.
Can I keep my existing door furniture style?
In most cases yes. We can match knockers, letterplates and numbers in chrome, gold, black or brushed finishes.
